Montgenevre
The most reliable beginner snow in the region, and the clear pick.
Montgenevre sits high on the pass into Italy, which gives it some of the most dependable snow in the Southern Alps, and its broad, gentle slopes spill straight from a real village with both old character and modern lodging. The nursery areas are wide and sunny, the green and easy blue terrain flows naturally for an improving beginner, and the ski school is solid and used to first timers. The linked Italian side of the Milky Way adds room to grow once confidence arrives.
It takes top spot because it pairs the most reliable snow with genuinely gentle terrain and a proper village base. The trade is that the village strings along the through road, so the layout is less neatly contained than a purpose built station.
