Grindelwald

St Moritz

Andermatt

Saas Fee

The final leg is by bus rather than pure rail, which is the only reason it sits here, but for a car free, snow sure family base it is superb.

Laax

A slick, modern area famous for freestyle, reached by train to Chur then bus.

Laax is the design led, freestyle focused pick, reached by train to Chur and a short bus up. It has one of the best snow parks in the world, slopeside modern lodging and a large, well run ski area.

The bus transfer at the end keeps it from the top spots, but for style, terrain and a strong park scene it is a fine car free choice.

Verbier
