Sierra Nevada
The most complete family resort in Spain, and the clear pick.
Sierra Nevada sits high above Granada with a large, gentle beginner zone at Borreguiles, a big and well run ski school, and some of the most reliable snow in the country thanks to a top height near 3,300 meters. The base at Pradollano is compact and walkable, with restaurants, rentals and the main lifts close together, and the sunshine here is exceptional. The trump card is the city below: families can pair a ski week with warm days in Granada, which keeps non skiing days easy.
It beats Baqueira for top spot on sheer family value: the same snow security and teaching, more sunshine, and a far lower bill, with a city escape an hour down the road.
