There is no real nightlife, which suits the family audience; for a livelier or grander scene you drive to St Moritz or Davos. Savognin is a place to ski, relax and spend less, not to be seen.

Savognin sits on the road toward the Julier pass in central Graubunden. Zurich is the main airport at around 2h 30m by road, with the journey running via Chur and up the Surses valley. By rail, the efficient Swiss network reaches Tiefencastel or Chur with a connecting bus to Savognin, an easy car free option. A car is handy for day trips to St Moritz, Davos and Arosa, all within an hour or so, but not essential for a week on the local mountain.

March is excellent for sun with snow, long, bright days on a mountain built for cruising, with the higher slopes holding cover while afternoons soften lower down.
